Abstract
In this talk I’ll give an overview into contemporary approaches to creating startups. I’ll explain what startups are – as opposed to small businesses, how to fund them and how to systematically explore what to build. Artificial Intelligence may be overhyped in the recent years, but it also offers amazing possibilities to automate and accelerate software development, UI engineering and many other activities. I’ll use the examples of HeyScience and thesify.ai, two AI startups that I co-founded. Both startups focus on providing responsible tools and services for students & scientists.
