Abstract
Time as well as the relationship of brain and mind remain enigma in both philosophy and neuroscience. Recent findings show that the brain's exhibits an inner time with most basic physical features like scale-free dynamics, autocorrelation, entropy and complexity. How do these features characterize the brain's spontaneous activity and how do they shape task-related activity including cognition?
